Aloha To Aging, Inc. is a non-profit 501c3 community outreach created to address the social needs of seniors 55 and older with mild to moderate impairments, assist their family members with their changing role as a family caregiver and create volunteer opportunities for the community. Our Mission: To empower family caregivers, aging care receivers and volunteers in a positive, nurturing manner through quality programming. Aloha To Aging, Inc. was founded by Dawn Reed, a Certified Senior Advisor and owner of Aloha To Senior Solutions Consulting, who has been in the healthy aging industry for 20+ years. After directing an award winning and nationally recognized day respite program for 6 years and leading care giver education and support groups, Dawn knew first hand the increased value these services provided to families. With tremendous encouragement and support from the community volunteers and families, Aloha To Aging, Inc. was founded in August 2009. "One of the many goals of Aloha To Aging, Inc. is to further reach the growing need for family caregiver education, which includes understanding the need for their loved ones to experience social stimulation outside of their home. Whether their loved one is living with the family or in an independent or assisted living community, there is still the need for a sense of belonging and acceptance that is unconditional. Our Aloha Day Club provides this opportunity through our trained and nurturing volunteers who come to share and enjoy the day with the Aloha Day Club members, while allowing the family caregivers a much needed break."
